Audi is launching it's new A4 this November in Ireland. The new Saloon and the Avant models have lost over 100kgs in weight, leading to impressively low emissions and fuel economy. The entry model, the Attraction, has a 1.4 liter petrol engine and starts at €35,800 including delivery.

Volkswagen to recall 107,000 cars in Ireland

VW has confirmed that 107,000 cars will be recalled in Ireland. This includes 80,000 cars bought in Ireland and 27,000 cars imported mainly from the UK. A site has been launched in Ireland by Volkswagen. The site, www.campaigncheck.ie, let's Irish owners of Volkswagen, Audi, Seat and Skoda cars and commercial vehicles check if their vehicle is affected.

We are told the new Kia Sportage is due here in January. Most of the visible updates will be in the look of the grille. The 2016 Kia Sportage will feature a Tiger Nose grille, redesigned headlights. Ssangyong's New Tivoli now available in Ireland. Prices start at €19,995

Recently unvailed in Ireland, Ssangyong's new compact crossover will start at €19,995 for the 1.6 petrol model with the 1.6 diesel reported to cost slightly more. Both models come in a choice of either two or four-wheel drive, with six speed manual or automatic gearbox. Emmisions have been reported at 120g/km of CO2 for the two-wheel drive. Ssangyong said in a press release - Tivoli went on sale in Korea in January, and achieved 7,000 orders within three weeks of being released. Following its international launch at the Geneva Motor Show in March, the petrol powered Tivoli will go on sale in Ireland from June, and the diesel derivatives from July.

Top Gear may be coming to Ireland - Kerry TD wants show to make a special along the Wild Atlantic Way

South Kerry TD Brendan Griffin has invited the World's most watched motoring TV show, Top Gear, to film a special along the Wild Atlantic Way. He says “This would provide a free advertising opportunity to promote the Wild Atlantic Way to millions of people, not just in the UK, which is our biggest tourism market, but worldwide,”. Tourism Ireland has added it's support. The route, unveiled in April 2013, runs for 2,500 along the west coast from Donegal to Cork.

'Crazy overtaking Ireland'

A video has gone viral of some 'crazy' overtaking on Irish roads. On last checking the view count was 89238. The uploader, arczer1234, commented - 'the driver was driving behind me, the 10 km was previously a lot of space to overtake me chose the worst moment of zero imagination'. The road on which this was supposed to have takn place is the R148 on the 13th of January.

The new Audi A6 has finally arrived. Prices start at €44,750 for the ‘Ultra’ SE. Changes include updated engines, new headlights, updated multimedia system and some light cosmetic changes. Standard equiptement includes 17-inch alloy wheels, sat nav, cruise control, parking sensors, automatic lights and wipers and air conditioning. New engines updated accross the range are now 22% more efficient, with the Ultra being the most economical.
